NATO has moved part of its air defense systems from Europe to the Middle East

Due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, NATO has decided to move a part of its air defense (HHM) systems from Europe to that region.

“Elchi” reports that General Alexus Grynkewich, Supreme Commander of NATO’s Joint Forces in Europe, stated this during hearings held in the US Senate Armed Services Committee.

The general noted that air defense assets under the command of the US European Command were used to protect NATO allies in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea. He answered positively to a question regarding the transfer of these systems to the Middle East.

The transfer of air defense systems is related to the military operations of the US and Israel against Iran. According to Grynkewich, the European Command has already reduced the number of these systems in Europe by moving them to the conflict zone.

Meanwhile, the American newspaper “Politico” reported that the European Union has depleted its reserves of air defense missiles necessary for the Ukrainian army. Ukraine has expressed its concern about the reduction in arms supplies, especially “Patriot” anti-aircraft missile system missiles, which are extremely important for air defense.
