Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Israel would attack Lebanon if Hezbollah does not stop firing at Israel. Katz stated, “If Hezbollah’s firing at Israel is not prevented, we will seize the region and make it our own.”
“Elchi” reports that Israeli Defense Minister Katz held a situation assessment meeting with high-ranking military officials. In a statement after the meeting, Katz announced that Hezbollah had targeted Israel with heavy rocket fire yesterday, and the Israeli army had carried out intensive attacks in Beirut’s Dahiye region and throughout Lebanon.
Katz, stating that they had sent a message to the Lebanese government, threatened Lebanon with occupation, saying: “If Hezbollah’s firing at Israel is not prevented, we will seize the region and make it our own.”
Katz said that he, along with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, had instructed the army to expand its operations in Lebanon. Meanwhile, the Times of Israel newspaper reported that Hezbollah had fired more than 200 rockets at Israel yesterday, and half of the launch sites were destroyed by the Israeli army after the rockets were fired.
