The US administration is forcing the South African authorities to withdraw from BRICS and return to a policy of non-alignment.
“Elchi” reports that “TimesLIVE” newspaper wrote about this.
The newspaper, citing US Ambassador Leo Brent Bozell, notes that he stated Washington sent five requests to Pretoria about a year ago. These include reviewing the Expropriation Act and the Black Freedom Program, condemning the slogan “Kill the Boers,” and protecting white farmers.
The newspaper also noted that the US also wants South Africa to withdraw from BRICS and drop its case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
It should be recalled that South Africa was invited to join BRICS in December 2010 and officially became a member in 2011.
