Trump’s ‘Mine in Hormuz’ message to Iran: Consequences will follow

US President Donald Trump stated that if Iran places mines in the Strait of Hormuz, they “must be removed immediately”.
“Elchi” reports that President Trump said in a social media post: “If Iran has placed any mines in the Strait of Hormuz and we have no information about it, we want them to be removed immediately”.
Trump added:
“If the mines have been placed for any reason and are not removed immediately, the military consequences for Iran will be unprecedented. On the other hand, if they remove any mine that could be placed, this will be a huge step in the right direction”.
“We struck 10 minelaying ships” statement
Meanwhile, Trump announced that the US “completely destroyed” 10 inactive minelaying ships.
US-Israel attacks on Iran
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations between Tehran and Washington were ongoing.
Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Israel, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located.
As a result of the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and numerous other high-ranking officials were killed. According to Iranian officials, 1332 people died in the US-Israel attacks.
