The appeal of “Turan Tovuz” club after the match against “Kəpəz” in the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup has been partially granted.
“Elchi” reports that the AFFA Appeal Arbitration Tribunal has made a decision regarding this.
The actions of Kurban Berdyev, the head coach of the Tovuz representative, were classified under Article 53.1 of the Disciplinary Code. Therefore, the head coach of “Turan Tovuz” team was banned for 3 matches, and the club itself was fined 6000 manats.
The appeal was not granted in its remaining part.
It should be noted that in the 64th minute of the “Turan Tovuz” – “Kəpəz” match held on February 5, Kurban Berdyev received a direct red card for pushing the referee and then insulted the referees. For this reason, the AFFA Disciplinary Committee had given the coach a 4-match disqualification and “Turan Tovuz” a fine of 10000 manats.
