Israel plans to allocate billions of dollars to a special military budget for operations against Iran.
“Elchi” reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated this in a joint video address with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
Speaking about the strikes on Iran, Netanyahu noted that Israel is simply obliged to launch this campaign to neutralize the nuclear and missile capabilities of the Islamic Republic:
“But there is a big “but”: This will require significant resources. Therefore, we must allocate a special budget of tens of billions of shekels to support defense expenditures and military operations during the war,” he said.
The Prime Minister did not disclose the exact amount. For reference, at the current exchange rate, 10 billion shekels is approximately equal to 3.25 billion dollars.
