Iran announces it will not allow US-linked oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz

Iran will not allow the transportation of oil shipments related to the US and its allies through the Strait of Hormuz.

“Elchi” reports that this was stated by a representative of the “Khatam al-Anbiya” central headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces. The information was broadcast by Al Alam TV channel.

He stated:
“We will not allow the transportation of even a single liter of oil through the Strait of Hormuz for the sake of the interests of the US and its allies.”

Previously, information was spread that the Iranian military had struck a ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

Ibrahim Jabari, advisor to the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), noted that any ship attempting to pass through the strait could be destroyed. He added that Iran is ready to strike all oil pipelines in the Middle East and block oil exports from the region if necessary.

In connection with the events in the Middle East, Norwegian Energy Minister Terje Aasland stated that European Union countries may reconsider the issue of resuming oil and gas supplies from Russia.
