The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the Department of Energy has announced its forecast for global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons for 2026-2027.
“Elchi”, citing EIA’s monthly report, announced that in 2027, global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons will average 106.61 million barrels (previous forecast – 106.07 million barrels), which is 1.44 million barrels more than the 2026 forecast.
In addition, EIA has updated its forecast for global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons for 2026. According to the forecast, global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons this year will average 104.79 million barrels, which is 0.38 million barrels more than the previously given forecast.
It is noted that in 2025, global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons amounted to an average of 103.94 million barrels, which means an increase of 1.14 million barrels compared to the 2024 figure (102.8 million barrels).
