Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the situation around Iran, as well as issues of support for Ukraine’s air defense (AD) system and energy sector.
“Elchi” reports that Zelensky stated this on his Telegram channel.
“We discussed the situation around Iran with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We are ready to share our experience to prevent the war from escalating and to save lives, but at the same time, Ukraine needs to strengthen its air defense system, and we expect appropriate support from our partners,” he wrote.
R.T. Erdoğan stated that Turkey is ready to host the next stage of negotiations in a trilateral format. “I thank President Erdoğan for his support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, for Turkey’s readiness to play a role in ensuring maritime security within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing, and for future decisions on supporting Ukrainian energy,” Zelensky added.
