A prolonged halt to the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz could lead to disastrous consequences for the world economy.
“Elchi” reports that this view was expressed by Amin Nasser, the head of Saudi Arabian oil company Saudi Aramco.
“The longer the disruptions last, the more catastrophic the consequences will be for global oil markets, and this will have a stronger impact on the global economy,” Nasser told reporters. His words were quoted by The National newspaper.
