New legislative acts signed by President Ilham Aliyev are aimed at improving the social insurance system based on modern approaches, simplifying procedures in the social insurance field with innovative solutions, and increasing the flexibility of services.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.
With these changes, the registration of insured persons with the insurer will henceforth be carried out solely based on the Individual Identification Number (FIN) of the insured person’s identity card, and there will no longer be a need for a social insurance number (SSN) for this purpose.
If, until now, when quarterly reports were submitted by insurers (employers) regarding insured persons (employees), both SSN and FIN were required to be indicated separately, now the indication of SSN will no longer be required.
Thus, with the new changes, by conducting the registration of insured persons with the insurer solely with FIN, information exchange in the relevant field will be carried out faster and more accurately. Social insurance numbers will not be additionally required from newly employed individuals, and administrative procedures in the social insurance system will be optimized.
Furthermore, the efficiency of electronic services related to the social insurance system will further increase, ensuring that processes in this area are carried out more simply, transparently, and operatively.
