Real Madrid footballer Rodrygo Goes may be out of action for a year.
“Elchi” reports, citing the official website of the Madrid club, that the Brazilian forward has undergone surgery due to a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus in his right knee.
According to doctors’ initial prognosis, Rodrygo’s recovery period could last 10–12 months. This means that the 24-year-old player will miss the remainder of the current season and a significant part of the next season.
The long recovery period is expected to prevent Rodrygo from playing for the Brazilian national team in the 2026 World Cup.
It is worth noting that Rodrygo was injured in the match against Getafe (0:1) in the XXVI round of La Liga. The forward, who participated in 27 matches for the “Royal club” across all competitions this season, scored 3 goals and provided 6 assists.
