The US does not plan to expand its military operations against Iran if the need arises to conduct escort operations for tankers and other vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
“Elchi” reports that US Secretary of Defense Pit Hegset stated this.
He said: “We have capabilities unlike any other country on Earth, and we are working with our partners in the energy sector at all levels of the administration to control this situation.”
Hegset added that an expansion of the war’s scope is not planned:
“The world must understand that this is not planned and will not be expanded. We know exactly what we want to achieve here, and the American people can be confident of that.”
