British ‘HMS Dragon’ ship heads to the Eastern Mediterranean

The UK’s ‘HMS Dragon’ warship is leaving the naval base in Portsmouth and heading to the Eastern Mediterranean for the defense of Cyprus.

“Elchi”  reports that this was announced by “The Guardian”.

It was reported that the destroyer has been sent to the region to protect British airbases on the island, as well as to prevent possible drone or missile attacks by Iran and its allies.

It should be noted that Britain is also preparing the landing ship “RFA Lyme Bay” for deployment in the region.
