Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump discussed the situation regarding Iran during their phone conversation.
“Elchi” reports that, in a statement to journalists in Moscow, Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov said that a phone conversation took place between President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump at the request of the US side.
Ushakov emphasized that the conversation lasted approximately one hour and was constructive, noting that the two leaders discussed international issues. Ushakov said: “During the conversation, the situation regarding Iran and the trilateral negotiation process concerning the Ukrainian crisis with the participation of US representatives were discussed. Putin shared some of his thoughts on the political and diplomatic resolution of the Iranian issue, based on his contacts with the leaders of the Persian Gulf countries, Iranian President Masoud Pazeshkian, and leaders of other countries. Trump also made assessments regarding the evolving situation in the context of US and Israeli operations. A very comprehensive and useful exchange of views took place on this matter.”
