Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz addressed Lebanese President Jozep Aun amidst the intensification of military operations with Hezbollah.
“Elchi”, citing Israeli media, reports that he stated Beirut has not fulfilled its obligation to disarm the Iranian-backed group, as stipulated in the ceasefire agreement.
“You undertook to implement the agreement and disarm Hezbollah, but this is not happening. Act and take measures before we do more. We will not allow attacks on our settlements and soldiers,” the defense minister said.
According to him, if the parties clash, the Lebanese government and all of Lebanon will pay a heavy price.
“If (Hassan) Nasrallah has destroyed Lebanon, Naim Qasim (Hezbollah leader) will also destroy it on this path,” Katz warned.
He added that Israel has no territorial demands from Lebanon.
