The evacuation of the staff of Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Tabriz, Iran, has been completed.
Aykhan Hajizada, Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, said this in response to an inquiry from APA.
Aykhan Hajizada noted that a large part of the staff of our embassy in Tehran has also been evacuated.
It should be noted that yesterday, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced at a joint press conference in Baku with Mihai Popșoi, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Moldova, that instructions had been given regarding the evacuation of the staff of Azerbaijan’s embassy in Tehran, as well as the Consulate General in Tabriz.
