Yesterday, two pilots were killed after an Indian Air Force fighter jet crashed in the northeastern state of Assam.
“Elchi” reports that the Indian Air Force announced yesterday that the aircraft, which took off from Jorhat for a training flight, had crashed.
The statement identified the two deceased pilots as Major Anuj and Captain Purvesh Duragkar, adding that all Air Force personnel extended their condolences during this difficult time and stood by the grieving families.
The Air Force’s “Su-30MKI” fighter jet took off from Jorhat in Assam yesterday for a training flight.
The last contact with the aircraft was at 19:42 local time, after which it disappeared from radar.
It was reported that the aircraft crashed approximately 60 kilometers from Jorhat, and search and rescue operations have commenced.
