On March 6, 2026, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, called Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the phone conversation, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov extensively informed his interlocutor about the drone attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran on March 5, 2026, in the direction of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The Minister noted that such actions against the territory of Azerbaijan are not only contrary to the country’s sovereignty but also constitute a serious violation of the norms and principles of international law and serve to increase tension in the region.
Minister Nasser Bourita strongly condemned the drone attacks against the territory of Azerbaijan, stating that this causes concern, and expressed solidarity with our country.
During the phone conversation, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
