During control measures carried out over the past week, it was determined that more than 63 thousand manats of damage was caused to green spaces in the territories of Baku, Sumgayit cities, Gakh and Samukh districts.
“Elchi” reports that the State Ecological Security Service disseminated information about this.
It was reported that during the investigation, it was determined that damage amounting to 63,170 manats was caused to green spaces as a result of illegal tree felling in Baku city, Surakhani district, Amirjan settlement, Sabail district, Teymur Elchin street 8(36) address, Sumgayit city, H.Z.Taghiyev settlement, S.Bahlulzade street, Sumgayit city, 48th block area, Gakh district, Kichik Alatəmir and Samukh district, Salahli villages’ territories.
Since the amount of damage caused to green spaces in each case constitutes a criminal offense, the collected materials have been sent to law enforcement agencies for a legal assessment of the issue.
