Metro’s work schedule to CHANGE

Due to March 8 – International Women’s Day and the declaration of March 9 as a non-working day according to the Labor Code, changes will be made to the operating mode of the Baku Metro.

“Elchi” reports, citing milliaz, that Emil Ahmadov, advisor to the chairman of the board of “Baku Metro” CJSC, stated this in a statement to journalists.

According to him, the metro will operate on an intensified schedule on both mentioned non-working days: on the “28 May-Ahmadli” section, the train interval will be 2.5 minutes throughout the day. On March 8 and 9, reserve trains and necessary workforce will be allocated for all lines, and control measures will be strengthened.

On the “Purple” line, as well as on the “Hazi Aslanov-Ahmadli” and “Jafar Jabbarli-Khatai” sections, intervals will remain unchanged.

Passengers traveling to and from “Bakmil” can use the Saturday schedule on March 8 and 9.”
