“The treacherous attack by the Iranian Armed Forces on Nakhchivan is once again clear proof of the Iranian Mullah regime’s ingratitude, hypocrisy, and wickedness!” This statement was made to “Moderator.az” by Niyaməddin Orduxanlı, Secretary General of the AHD Party, NGO Chairman, and political scientist. According to him, the Azerbaijani state has always remained loyal to its neighborhood policy with Iran, consistently pursued a policy based on the principle of good neighborliness, Azerbaijani territory has never posed a threat to Iran or any other country, the President of Azerbaijan immediately offered condolences regarding the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, visited the embassy, and Azerbaijan also planned to send humanitarian aid to Iran: “Despite all this, unlike the Mullah regime, Azerbaijan has never pursued a hypocritical policy, always supported its neighbors in difficult times. While Azerbaijan has had a friendly relationship with Iran for years, Iran’s targeting of a civilian object, an airport used by civilian citizens, in the Nakhchivan territory should be regarded not only as the Mullah regime’s ingratitude but also as terrorism against peaceful residents and civilian infrastructure!”
According to Niyaməddin Orduxanlı, organizing a drone attack on civilian infrastructure is a sign of helplessness and cowardice: “Such threats can never intimidate the Azerbaijani state and its people! Those who have attacked Azerbaijan until today have always regretted it, or we have made them regret it! Iran will also regret this cowardly act and will be held accountable! Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov called Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and once again reminded him of the statements repeatedly made by Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev that Azerbaijani territory would not be used against any neighboring and friendly state, including Iran. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was one of the rare world leaders who offered condolences to Iran regarding the death of its Supreme Leader Khamenei. The President personally visited the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan and offered condolences. What more does the ungrateful Mullah regime want?!”
