President of Azerbaijan demanded an apology from Iran

“Today, a terrorist act was committed by Iran against the territory of Azerbaijan, against the Azerbaijani state.”

“Elchi” reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated these views at the meeting of the Security Council.

The head of state said: “The state of Iran shelled the territory of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with unmanned aerial vehicles. The targets of the shelling were civilian objects. Nakhchivan International Airport, its terminal building, a school, and other directions were subjected to treacherous fire by Iran. The Azerbaijani state strongly condemns this heinous act of terror, and those who committed it must be immediately brought to justice. An explanation must be provided to the Azerbaijani side by Iranian officials, an apology must be made, and those who committed this act of terror must be brought to criminal responsibility.”
