Israel’s Ministry of Defense announced that US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth fully supports Israel’s ongoing attacks.
“Elchi” reports that, according to the Times of Israel newspaper, Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz had a phone conversation with his US counterpart Hegseth last night. The statement noted that Hegseth praised the “unprecedented cooperation” between the armies of the two countries. Hegseth reportedly encouraged Katz by saying, “Keep going until the end, we are with you.”
Message of determination from an Iranian general: The duration of the war does not matter
Harsh statements have been made by Iran regarding the possibility of a long-term conflict. General Kioumars Heydari, Deputy Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated that Iran will not stop fighting until it achieves its goals and inflicts heavy blows on the US. Speaking to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, Heydari, referring to Iran’s experience in the last eight years of war, stated:
“It does not matter to us how many days this war lasts. We will only end this war when we achieve our goals and cause the enemy to regret this action and fall into despair.”
US-Israel attacks on Iran
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were being held between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
In response, Iran attacked targets it had identified in several regional countries, including Israel, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located.
In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and many other high-ranking officials were killed.
Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour announced that 1045 people lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks.
