Netherlands condemns Iran’s attack on Nakhchivan

The Embassy of the Netherlands in Azerbaijan strongly condemned the attacks carried out by Iran on Nakhchivan with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

“Elchi” reports that this was stated in a post on the embassy’s “Facebook” page.

“The embassy strongly condemns today’s drone attacks on Nakhchivan. Such actions are unacceptable and a violation of Azerbaijan’s security and territorial integrity. Iran’s attacks further undermine regional stability. In this difficult moment, we express our full solidarity with Azerbaijan and the victims,” the statement noted.

It should be recalled that on March 5, Iran attacked objects in the territory of Nakhchivan with unmanned aerial vehicles. One of the drones fell on the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, and the second near the school building in Shakarabad village. Four civilians were injured as a result of the attack on the airport. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Azerbaijan stated that it reserves the right to retaliate.
