Iran’s drone attacks on Nakhchivan pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
According to “Elchi”, this was stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Montenegro.
“Montenegro strongly condemns Iran’s attack on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. Such actions pose a serious threat to regional security and stability. We emphasize the importance of de-escalation and the restoration of dialogue. Montenegro expresses solidarity with Azerbaijanis and calls for immediate de-escalation,” the foreign policy department noted.
It should be recalled that drone attacks were carried out from Iran to Nakhchivan around noon on March 5. One of the drones fell on the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, and the second near the school building in Shakarabad village. Four civilians were injured as a result of the attack on the airport. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Damirchilu, was summoned to the MFA. The Azerbaijani side stated that it reserves the right to retaliate.
