Kazakhstan expresses concern over Iran’s strikes on Nakhchivan

Today, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev called his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.

According to “Elchi”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan released information about this.

It was reported that Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that the drone attacks carried out by Iran against the territory of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on March 5, accompanied by damage to civilian infrastructure and persons, were contrary to our sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He brought to the attention of the Kazakh side that we demand Iran to clarify the mentioned issue, provide an explanation, apologize, and take necessary urgent measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

The Kazakh minister expressed deep concern about these attacks and stated his hope that the situation would not escalate further.
