Bahrain MFA strongly condemned Iran’s drone attacks on Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain strongly condemned Iran’s attacks against Azerbaijan and Turkey.

According to “Elchi”, this was stated in the foreign policy department’s statement.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain strongly condemns and considers unacceptable Iran’s attacks against brotherly Turkey and Azerbaijan. These actions constitute a gross violation of the principles of good neighborliness, international law and norms, as well as a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region,” the statement noted.

Bahrain MFA confirmed its full solidarity with Turkey and Azerbaijan, and expressed its support for the measures taken by these countries to protect their sovereignty, ensure their security and territorial integrity.

The Ministry also called for an end to “these baseless and provocative acts of aggression” that undermine regional security and stability.

It should be recalled that on March 5, around noon, drone attacks were carried out from Iran to Nakhchivan. One of the drones fell on the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, and the second one near the school building in Shakarabad village. Four civilians were injured as a result of the attack on the airport. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, was summoned to the MFA. The Azerbaijani side stated that it reserves the right to retaliate.
