Star footballer of Saudi Arabian club “Al-Nassr”, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been injured.
“Elchi” reports, citing the club’s press service, that the Portuguese forward suffered a hamstring injury in the 81st minute of the match against “Al-Fayha” (3:1) within the XIV round.
The captain of the Portuguese national team will be sidelined for 2–4 weeks. The experienced footballer’s treatment has already begun.
Ronaldo is expected to be fully ready before the World Cup, which will start on June 11 in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
It should be recalled that amidst tensions in the Middle East, claims had spread that Cristiano Ronaldo had left the country with his family. Due to the possibility of operations launched by the USA and Israel against Iran spreading to Gulf countries, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) postponed eight matches planned to be held in the region for security purposes.
