The Ministry of Emergency Situations and “Baku Metro” CJSC conducted a tactical-special exercise at “Jafar Jabbarli” and “Khatai” metro stations.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry.
It should be noted that the topic of the exercise was “Organization of joint activities during possible emergency situations in Baku Metro”.
Initially, the MES “112” hotline received “information” about a “fire” caused by a conditional short circuit in the control cabinet of the shaft located in the 1st track section between “Jafar Jabbarli” and “Khatai” metro stations, and relevant forces of the Ministry’s State Fire Protection and State Fire Control services were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Regarding the conditional incident, Metro employees first carried out the closure of the stations, switching on the working lights in the tunnel, opening the access doors, and “initial intervention in the fire”.
MES mobile fire-rescue teams promptly conducted reconnaissance and assessment of the operational situation using personal protective equipment, the conditional fire was “extinguished” in a short time, and “victims were evacuated” with “first aid” provided using rescue equipment.
After the successful exercise, the results obtained were discussed, and an exchange of views on the topic was held between the employees of MES and the Metro.
A total of 7 units of equipment and 44 personnel from MES were involved in the exercise.
