Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the issue of a ballistic missile launch from Tehran towards his country during a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
“Elchi” reports that the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding this.
“Our Minister conveyed Turkey’s strong protest against the launch of a ballistic missile from Iran that was neutralized while moving towards Turkish airspace. Hakan Fidan stated that Iran should refrain from any action that could lead to an escalation of the conflict,” the statement noted.
It should be recalled that the Turkish Ministry of Defense had previously announced that a ballistic missile launched from Iran towards Turkey was destroyed by NATO’s air defense systems.
