In connection with the Novruz holiday, “From Village to City” Novruz fairs will be organized in 12 locations by “Agrarian Procurement and Supply” OJSC, operating under the Ministry of Agriculture.
From the Public Relations and Information Provision Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, it was reported to “Elchi” that the main purpose of organizing the fairs, which will continue uninterrupted for 11 days, is to support local farmers’ access to the market during the holiday season and, at the same time, to ensure urban residents’ access to natural, local, and healthy agricultural products.
147 farmers from 25 regions will participate in the fairs, selling 150 varieties of agricultural and food products. To control the quality of products offered for sale, the Mobile Food Laboratory of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency will operate daily at the fair. Citizens can benefit from the laboratory’s services to learn about the quality indicators of any product offered for sale at the fair.
The fair will operate from 09:00 to 19:00 at the address Narimanov district, Fatali Khan Khoyski street, 5 (next to “Ganjlik” metro station), as well as in a total of 12 locations.
Thus, from March 13-17, fairs will be organized in various areas of the capital – near the “Ahmedli”, “Neftchilar”, “Nariman Narimanov”, “Elmlar Akademiyasi” and “Azadlig” metro stations, as well as in the “Garant” Residential Complex in Mehdiabad settlement, Absheron district. At the same time, Novruz fairs are planned to be organized in the cities of Sumgayit, Khankendi, and Aghdash (in the new market area in Aghdash city).
