Coastal Boulevard Department migrates IT systems to “Government Cloud”

The execution of Decree No. 718 of the President of Azerbaijan “On measures in the field of creation of “Government Cloud” (G-cloud) and provision of “cloud” services” continues.

This was reported by “Elchi” from “AzInTelecom” LLC.

It was noted that, within the framework of the execution of the Decree, another state agency – the Coastal Boulevard Department – partially migrated its information systems and resources to the “Government Cloud”. The Department placed its IT systems in the Baku Main Data Center belonging to “AzInTelecom”. Virtual server – IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) service was provided to the agency by “AzInTelecom”. With this, the agency achieved high availability of critical systems.

The “Government Cloud” project is being implemented by “AzInTelecom” LLC, one of the AZCON Holding companies. Within the framework of the project, the full or partial migration of IT systems of state agencies to the data centers belonging to “AzInTelecom” LLC is carried out. As a result of the migration, the IT costs of the agencies decrease, information systems are stored within the country – in a single center, and are monitored 24/7.

“AzInTelecom” LLC is the first organization in the South Caucasus region to obtain the “TIER III” certificate, which defines international standards for “cloud” services.
