Artificial intelligence-related programs and specialties to be included in Azerbaijan’s education system

Today, a graduate should not look for a job, but rather think about creating one.

“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education, at the official opening ceremony of the national final stage of the XV Republican Project Competition “Scientists of Tomorrow”.

He stated that in the modern era, projects must be innovative, and ideas must transform into innovation: “Developed countries have reached this stage precisely by forming an innovation society. Currently, states developing modern technologies are at the fifth level of the technological system. The sixth stage is projected to cover the years 2035–2045. It is difficult to say exactly what innovations will occur during that period. However, countries like the USA, China, and South Korea are already approaching this system, and the process is mainly built on artificial intelligence.”

The Deputy Minister noted that the main direction of the future is related to unmanned, robotic systems and artificial intelligence technologies: “Currently, more than 4 million robots are operating worldwide, with the highest indicator in South Korea. The world is rapidly moving in this direction. Artificial intelligence is a positive tool that shows people the right path. However, to get the correct result from it, it is important to ask the right question. Because the right question forms the basis of the right answer.”

Firudin Gurbanov stated that in the future, programs and specialties related to artificial intelligence will be included in the education system.
