A delegation led by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, is on a visit to Turkey in connection with iftar ceremonies to be organized in areas densely populated by Azerbaijanis.

Within the framework of the visit, the leadership of the committee and its subordinate bodies, including Nərminə Mustafayeva, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, visited the park named after National Leader Heydar Aliyev, located in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul.
The delegation visited the monument erected in the park in honor of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, and the architect and founder of the modern independent Azerbaijani state. Wreaths were laid in front of the monument, and his dear memory was commemorated with deep respect.
The monument of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Turkey, located in the park, was also visited, and wreaths were laid in front of it.
It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev’s Decree “On Amendments to the Charter of the Foundation for the Promotion of Moral Values” defined the protection of religious freedom of Azerbaijanis living abroad and the provision of state support for the implementation of social projects as one of the Foundation’s objectives, creating opportunities for closer cooperation with compatriots. For this purpose, DQİDK and the Foundation for the Promotion of Moral Values (MDTF) plan to organize iftar dinners on March 2 in Istanbul, March 4 in Kars, and March 6 in Iğdır, Turkey.
The participation of the leadership of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Organization of Turkic States, deputies of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, representatives of relevant state institutions, as well as representatives of religious communities, is planned for the iftar ceremonies.
