The co-financing amount within the framework of compulsory medical insurance will be paid from January 1 next year.
“Elchi” reports that this is reflected in the amendment to the Law “On Medical Insurance” approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the law in force until now, the co-financing amount was supposed to be paid from January 1 this year.
It should be noted that the co-financing amount is the part of losses or damages arising from an insured event that is not covered by compulsory medical insurance coverage and is paid by the insured person. According to the law, the insured person must pay the co-financing amount when directly using outpatient-polyclinic, laboratory, functional-diagnostic medical services without applying for primary medical-sanitary care. The insured person must pay the co-financing amount when applying to a state medical institution located outside the medical territorial unit to which they were referred for the purpose of using medical services within the framework of compulsory medical insurance.
