The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its activities in fulfilling its duties, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Press Service of the MES.
It was reported that based on calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the relevant agencies of the Ministry carried out emergency rescue operations last week for 239 fires, 38 cases of being in a helpless situation, 3 road accidents, 1 suicide attempt, and 1 explosion. As a result of the urgent and immediate measures taken, the prompt extinguishing of fires and the rescue of human lives were ensured.
In total, forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 46 people, including 10 minors, last week; 3 people were injured, 1 person was poisoned by smoke, and 8 people lost their lives during the incidents.
