Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, denied claims that he was trying to restart talks with Washington, stating that he would not negotiate with the US.
“Elchi” reports that Larijani made a statement on his social media account regarding reports that Tehran was trying to restart talks with the US.
Referring to a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report claiming that Larijani was trying to restart talks with Washington and that this request was made through the Sultanate of Oman, Larijani said, “We will not negotiate with the US.”
In another post, Larijani also reacted to US President Donald Trump’s statements regarding Iran.
Emphasizing that Trump was dragging the region into chaos with empty dreams, Larijani said: “Now he is more concerned about the loss of American soldiers. With his illusions, he turned the slogan ‘America First’ he created into ‘Israel First’ and sacrificed American soldiers for Israel’s lust for power.” Larijani accused Trump of “forcing American soldiers and their families to pay the price with new lies.”
