The Iran dossier was discussed during a meeting between Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and Christopher Ya, US Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation.
“Elchi” reports that Rafael Grossi shared this information on his “X” page.
“Today at the IAEA, I received Christopher Ya, US Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation. We exchanged views on Iran and other areas of mutual interest,” he wrote.
Earlier on Friday, Russia’s Permanent Representative to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, wrote on his Telegram channel that he met with Grossi to discuss some issues related to Ukraine, as well as the current situation around Iran’s nuclear program and the prospects for future negotiations.
It should be recalled that on February 26, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that technical teams from his country and the US would begin consultations in Vienna on Monday, March 2, with the participation of IAEA experts.
According to him, the parties intend to align technical aspects with political demands. The minister added that the next round of US-Iran talks on the nuclear dossier could take place in less than a week.
