Facts of illegal tree felling have been discovered in the cities of Baku and Sumgayit, as well as in Gakh region.
This was reported to “Report” by the State Environmental Safety Service.
It was noted that during control measures carried out by the Service’s employees over the past week, facts of illegal felling of greenery were discovered in the territories of Baku, Sumgayit cities, and Gakh region.
During the investigation, it was determined that 1 tree was illegally cut down at 18 Kazımağa Kərimov Street, Khatai district, Baku city; 2 trees at building 134, Sharifzade Street, Yasamal district; 30 trees at 10A Sumgayit Highway, Bilajari settlement, Binagadi district; 42 trees at 53E Bilajari settlement, Binagadi district; 13 trees and 12 bushes at the 50th kilometer of the Baku-Alat highway, Garadagh district; 6 trees and 4 bushes in the area of the 21st block, Sumgayit city; 17 trees in the area of the seaside boulevard; 21 trees at the intersection of Heydar Aliyev Avenue and 20 January Street, Sumgayit city; and 9 trees in the area of Zarna village, Gakh district.
Since the amount of damage caused to greenery in each case constitutes a criminal offense, the collected materials have been sent to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment of the matter.
