A presentation and thematic exhibition dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide were held in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
“Elchi” reports that the event took place at the Azerbaijani Embassy with the participation of representatives from the “Youth and Diplomacy Network” youth organization.
Guests were provided with detailed information about Azerbaijan, its rich history, culture, and traditions, as well as the country’s modern role in the international arena. Special attention was paid to foreign policy priorities and the current state agenda.
Subsequently, participants were presented with archival documents and other materials about the Khojaly tragedy that occurred on the night of February 25-26, 1992. It was emphasized that this tragedy holds a special place in the national memory of the Azerbaijani people.
Guests also familiarized themselves with an exhibition dedicated to the Khojaly genocide. The exposition displayed photographs, archival materials, and books reflecting the tragic events. Participants showed great interest and asked numerous questions about Azerbaijani history and the Khojaly events. The event concluded with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the tragedy.
The Azerbaijani Embassy noted that the meeting served as an important platform for dialogue with active young people interested in diplomacy and contributed to increasing awareness about significant pages of Azerbaijani history.
