The fight against illegal drug trafficking by police officers continues.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the information, during an operation carried out by employees of the Garadagh District Police Department (DPD) in this direction, 43-year-old Akbar Aliyev was detained.
From him, 21 kilograms 302 grams of marijuana, 496 grams of opium, and 50 psychotropic methadone pills were discovered.
During the next operation carried out by the department’s employees, 39-year-old Elkhan Bandaliyev, a resident of the capital, was also detained on suspicion of illegal drug trafficking. From him, 23 kilograms 975 grams of marijuana were discovered and seized.
During the last operation carried out by the department’s employees, 32-year-old Yunis Mammadov, his peer Nazir Tagiyev, and 34-year-old Urfan Mammadli, suspected of organizing illegal drug trafficking in the capital, were detained in Lokbatan settlement. From these individuals, 20 kilograms 250 grams of marijuana, which they brought to Baku city for placement at various addresses, were discovered.

It should be noted that during the last operations, more than 66 kilograms of narcotic drugs were removed from illegal circulation.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the facts, and investigations are ongoing.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, employees of the Garadagh District Police Department have discovered nearly 80 kilograms of narcotic drugs.
