The Main State Traffic Police Department has appealed to truck drivers.
“Elchi” reports that the appeal states:
“The increase in road accidents involving trucks is a matter of serious concern. It is no coincidence that gross violations committed by truck drivers – exceeding the speed limit, violating overtaking and maneuvering rules, not allowing the flow of traffic from behind by placing themselves in the left lane when the right lane is empty – cause justified dissatisfaction among other drivers, as well as create a serious risk of accidents.”
It was reported that the operation of faulty vehicles, driving the car in a tired, sleepy state, improper packaging of cargo, distracting actions behind the wheel, and illegal parking on the roadside are also the most common violations committed by truck drivers.
Observations show that the majority of road accidents on highways are caused by such violations.
“The Main State Traffic Police Department once again appeals to truck drivers, urging them to refrain from the listed violations, to treat other road users with respect, and to contribute to the driving culture by demonstrating a high level of professionalism. Let’s not forget! Responsibility on the road is important for the safety of ourselves and other road users,” the appeal said.
