In 2023-2025, the registration of 23 internet providers in Azerbaijan was canceled for various reasons.
The Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA) told “Elchi” about this.
According to the information, the main reasons for removing these companies from registration include non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation, suspension of activities, reorganization of the legal entity, merger with another provider, and other legal violations.
The failure of companies to operate in accordance with the requirements has led to serious measures to ensure the proper and transparent functioning of the market.
It was noted that 191 internet providers have been registered in the country so far. Currently, 149 of them are fixed internet providers with active registration. In addition, 3 mobile operators and 17 host providers continue to operate in the market.
