“US President Donald Trump will not be able to succeed in destroying the Islamic Republic of Iran, as previous American leaders could not.”
“Elchi” reports that these views were expressed by Iran’s Supreme Religious Leader Ali Khamenei.
During a meeting with Iranian residents, he said on IRIB television:
“The US President said that the US has not been able to destroy the Islamic Republic for 47 years. This is a good confession. I say that you will not be able to do it either.”
Khamenei added that even the most powerful army that Americans consider their own can be hit so hard that it cannot be restored:
“Of course, an aircraft carrier is a dangerous weapon, but more dangerous than an aircraft carrier is the weapon that can send that carrier to the bottom of the sea.”
