Currently, foggy weather conditions are observed in Baku and some parts of the Absheron Peninsula. Visibility in the fog is limited to 55 meters. The reason for the fog formation is the high daytime temperature and its descent to the surface layer at night.
Gulshad Mammadova, Director of the Hydrometeorological Forecasts Bureau of the National Hydrometeorology Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, informed AZERTAC about this.
Gulshad Mammadova noted that the foggy weather conditions will continue intermittently until the afternoon of February 18.
