Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said he opposes Ukraine’s hasty accession to the European Union because he is guided by the opinion of his people.
“Elchi” reports that he also warned that despite Volodymyr Zelensky’s political attacks and interference in the Hungarian elections, his government will not change its position on the issue.
“Political attacks from Ukraine have reached a new level in the past week. President Zelensky directly opposed the Hungarian government and interfered in the election campaign in Hungary,” Orban noted.
“As the Prime Minister of Hungary, I am obliged to ensure the implementation of the decision of the Hungarian people. Whether President Zelensky wants it or not, I will repeat this over and over again,” Orban emphasized.
