The appeal against the extension of the pre-trial detention measure chosen for Vugar Mammadov, the editor-in-chief detained during the operation carried out by the State Security Service (SSS) in the “Hurriyyet” newspaper and “Hurriyyet TV”, has been reviewed.
“Elchi” reports that the decision was made at the Baku Court of Appeal in the process chaired by Judge Anar Ibrahimov.
According to the decision, the complaint was not satisfied.
It should be noted that Vugar Mammadov was detained on October 29 of last year as a result of the operation carried out by the SSS in the “Hurriyyet” newspaper and Hurriyyet TV. By the decision of the court, a pre-trial detention measure was chosen for Vugar Mammadov for a period of 3 months and 13 days. On February 9 of this year, the detention period was extended for another 3 months.
