During January 2026, as a result of complex operational-search measures carried out by law enforcement agencies in the field of combating drug addiction and illicit drug trafficking, a total of 793 criminal facts were revealed.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by the permanent Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Drug Trafficking. Of these, 162 were related to illegal sale of drugs, 630 to illegal acquisition and storage of drugs, and 1 to other crimes in this category.
In total, 893 kg 456.646 grams of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from illegal circulation in the revealed facts, of which 765 kg 086.6 grams were marijuana, 76 kg 396.846 grams were heroin, 23 kg 339 grams were opium, 20 kg 032.8 grams were hashish, 6 kg 043.5 grams were other narcotic drugs and 2 kg 557.9 grams were psychotropic substances.
In total, 14 groups of detected crimes were committed, and 162 kg 240.1 grams of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from illegal circulation in these facts. 100 criminal facts were committed by previously convicted persons, and 59 kg 691.5 grams of various types of narcotic drugs were seized from them.
207 people were brought to criminal responsibility for drug trafficking, 199 of them were men and 8 were women. A total of 48 kg 900.246 grams of various types of narcotic drugs were seized from 3 foreign citizens brought to justice.
