According to the southern bureau of APA, employees of the Astara District Police Department conducted operations against the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. As a result of the measures, 25-year-old Emin Guliyev, who had previously been convicted of similar crimes, was detained.
43 kilograms of marijuana and 1,520 psychotropic pills were found on him.
During the next operation carried out by the department’s employees against drug trafficking, 35-year-old Yusif Khaliqov was detained.
21 kilograms of marijuana were found and seized from him.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding the facts, and a detention measure was chosen for both persons by the decision of the court. The investigations are ongoing.
